Nineteen of the Russian's 21 victories have been won on hard surfaces
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev claimed his first trophy for nearly 30 months with victory over Corentin Moutet in the competition final.
The athlete, a former number one, has endured a challenging period, winning just one match at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the American major.
His inconsistency on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serving in specific - caused him dropping out of the top ten and ultimately separating with long-term coach Gilles Cervara.
Now training with his coach and his other coach, Medvedev has steadily improved in the last few weeks - culminating in a tightly fought three-set victory over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This represents the player's initial championship since the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard surface from spring of the previous year.
Success also means Medvedev has secured twenty-one victories at twenty-one different competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a tournament with my children together, so to win a title is really nice," commented tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my child my daughter, because the first title I achieved when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had been defeated in his last six title deciders, comprising in Halle earlier this year.
His counter-punching approach and regular outbursts on the tennis court had prompted commentators to question if his skill to perform at the top level was concluded.
However the player has made changes in recent weeks, making an effort to advance forward and compete positively, backed up by an improved service.
He came back from a break down in the opening set against the challenging Moutet, winning four of the concluding five exchanges to take the lead.
The pair traded service breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, striving for his maiden professional title, seized the initiative to force a final set.
Moutet rescued 4 early opportunities in a tight deciding set before the Russian broke to fifteen to close out the victory.
Fittingly, the winner clinched victory with a rally at the net, with Moutet unable to manage a shot after a lengthy match.
