The New Zealand fighter weighed nearly twenty pounds more than the British boxer as both big men displayed self-assured appearances - even if in different styles - leading up to Saturday's main event in London.

Kiwi Parker will put his WBO interim championship and chance to challenge for the global championship on the line against the unbeaten Wardley at the O2 Arena.

Undisputed top heavyweight the champion has signalled his plan to defend his world titles versus the victor.

"It all comes down to this. It signifies all," remarked a focused but zoned-in Wardley, thirty, at Friday's weigh-in.

The Ipswich fighter - who holds the WBA 'interim' belt - weighed in at 17st 5lb, matching his recent bouts.

"This fight leading up to the ultimate challenge. All preparation is finished. Training is wrapped up. All the hard work is done. Let's get some downtime now. Big night ahead," he stated further.

Spitalfields Market in London's east end witnessed beyond fresh produce on the measure as the pair of fighters confronted each other for the last occasion ahead of fight night.

Joseph Parker flashed a wink at the lenses and bobbed along to the music.

Flexing his physique, he appeared imposing and powerful as he weighed in at eighteen stone ten pounds, only five pounds below than his peak weight.

It is a far cry from the 107 kg version who lost his world title to Anthony Joshua in 2018.

"We are alert, we are wary, but I plan to respond with equal force and I'm going to get him," Parker declared.

I have reached a superior tier and will smash him - Joseph Parker

Fabio Wardley, wearing an Ipswich Town jersey, held a focused look, acknowledged the audience, but appeared zoned in.

He may be the lighter guy, Wardley has outstanding stopping ability. He delivered a dramatic comeback facing Huni in June, down on the official tallies before defeating his opponent in the tenth round although being outclassed for the majority of the fight.

"Parker, his camp and supporters will find out I belong to be at the peak of this heavyweight ranks," Fabio Wardley said.

"All challengers has been the fighter critics say will beat me. Here we are again. He is superior speed, swift, vastly experienced. However My record is perfect so far, and no challenge will alter tomorrow night."
